(WIFR) – Thousands are without power Saturday after storms rolled through the stateline.
According to ComEd’s outage map, more than 6,000 customers are without power in Boone County, with 45 outages reported.
Belvidere police said due to storm damage several intersections throughout the city are without power. They reminded drivers treat the intersections as a four-way stop and use caution.
More than 12,500 customers are without power in McHenry County, with 117 outages reported.
Outages have also been reported in Winnebago, Stephenson and Lee counties.
For many of the outages, restoration times are “pending assessment,” according to ComEd.
