A Nigerian woman, Oby Evelyn, has experienced the joy of motherhood after enduring a 14-year wait without a child. She took to social media to express her gratitude to God, stating that He gave her triplets to make up for her 14 years of shame and ridicule.
The woman, whose newborns include a boy and two girls, revealed that her blessings had left her speechless.
“I am speechless. I don’t know how to begin this because my mouth is full of praise. The joy is unbeatable. In fact, nothing beats this moment,” she wrote.
“God has given me triple for my shame and mockery after 14 solid years of marriage.
“My God of the 11th hour has blessed me with a prince and 2 princesses.
“My testimony is a dream come true. Thank you, my great God!!! Latest mama ejima ito.”
Triplets are by far less common than twins, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. They account for only about 4,300 sets in 3.9 million births, just a little more than 0.1%, or 1 in 1,000.
