Will Cristiano Ronaldo play for Al-Nassr next season? Huge future call made on Portuguese superstar in ‘blood has turned yellow’ claim

Al-Nassr are adamant that Cristiano Ronaldo will be on their books next season, despite the club enduring a disappointing campaign.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The Portuguese superstar did sign a contract through to the summer of 2025 when completing his stunning move to the Middle East early in 2023 – following his dramatic release by Premier League giants Manchester United. There has been talk of that deal being extended.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

  • There have, however, also been rumours of Ronaldo taking on another challenge elsewhere in the latter stages of his remarkable career – with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner now 39 years of age. He did, however, show no sign of slowing down in 2023-24 as he registered 50 goals across all competitions.

WHAT CEO SAID

  • Ronaldo broke the single season goal record in the Saudi Pro League, with 35 efforts to his name, and has become the first man to claim Golden Boots in four different countries. With that pedigree in mind, Al-Nassr CEO Guido Fienga has told reporters when quizzed on the future of CR7: “Cristiano Ronaldo’s blood turned yellow. Of course he will continue at Al-Nassr next season.”
