Cristiano Ronaldo was suspended for 2 matches for elbowing an Al-Hilal player in the Saudi Super Cup loss.

According to Asharq Al-Awsat, the Portuguese player will be suspended for 2 matches for violent behavior on the field during Al Nassr’s Saudi Super Cup semi-final against Al Hilal. In the confrontation, the 39-year-old striker elbowed Ali Ali-Bulaihi, causing him to be disqualified by the referee.

The Disciplinary and Ethics Committee of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation sat with Ronaldo to question him about the incident. CR7 is said to have justified his actions by claiming that he should not have been sent off in the first place.
