Good Tuesday morning!
Today is starting out mild, with temperatures in the 40s. Temperatures gradually cool between now and this evening, going from the mid to upper 40s into the low 40s. Following widespread overnight rainfall, things are a little damp early this morning as well, but we continue to dry out throughout the day. There could be some patchy sprinkles primarily north, but weather generally remains quiet between now and tomorrow evening.
Widespread rain and snow moves in Wednesday night. Rain will take place in the Mohawk Valley, with higher elevations seeing a precipitation switch over to wet snow. We aren’t thinking there will be high accumulations as surfaces will be wet and snow will struggle to stick initially. Hilltops could see 2-4 inches and elevations over 1000 feet could see trace-2″.
Backside lake-effect snow arrives Thursday, but the snow band doesn’t seem impressive. A few lingering snow showers should taper off throughout the day.
