Many stores, restaurants and businesses will close on Christmas Day in Memphis this year.

Christmas Day is on Wednesday, Dec. 25. Christmas Eve will occur the night before on Tuesday.
Is Christmas a federal holiday?
Yes, as Christmas is on a list of federal holidays in the United States, all federal offices, which include courtrooms and social security offices, will be closed.
Are banks open on Christmas?
Most major banks close down on Christmas Day but stay open for Christmas Eve.
On Christmas Day, Bank of America, CitiBank, Truist, PNC and Capital One branches will be closed.
Does USPS run on Christmas?
All United States Postal Services will not run on Christmas Day. Post offices will be closed, and mail will not be delivered.

Does FedEx, UPS run on Christmas?
On Christmas Day, FedEx pickup and delivery services will be unavailable and FedEx Office locations will be closed.
On Christmas Day, UPS pickup and delivery services will not be available, and UPS Store locations may be closed.
Both FedEx and UPS have critical shipping services that are available all year.
Does trash pick up on Christmas?
Memphis trash will not be picked up on either Dec. 24 or 25 as the City of Memphis government offices will be closed on both days.
