A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for the Brazos Valley

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Christmas Eve has already brought a few rumbles to the Brazos Valley, but the bulk of the activity is set to move through between 7pm and 1am. In anticipation some severe activity, the National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch.

Where:

All Counties except Lee, Leon, Milam, and Robertson. More counties will be trimmed out as the cold front moves through the area.

When:

The Severe Thunderstorm Watch will remain in effect until midnight.

What:

Storms will be capable of producing wind gusts up to 60mph, pocket change size hail, and heavy rain. There is a low risk for tornadoes, but we could see some brief rotation.
