Houston severe Christmas Eve weather: Thunderstorm, tornado warning issued for Harris County

HOUSTON – A couple of weather warnings have been issued for parts of the Houston-area on Christmas Eve.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for northwest Harris County until 4 p.m.

NWS also issued a tornado warning for Montgomery County, Waller County, and Harris County. The warning expired at 3:15 p.m.

According to NWS, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was seen near Hockley moving northeast at 15 mph.

Residents across the Houston area have also reported hail and other precipitation across the Houston area.
