Pregame

Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. The two NFL MVP favorites have seemingly been on a collision course for quite some time.

Now, the Buffalo Bills (14-4) and the Baltimore Ravens (13-5) are set to face off in a game that not only will give the winner a date with the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs on their quest for a three-peat, but also may potentially become a key game in both Allen and Jackson’s legacies.

Both teams defeated their Wild Card Weekend matchups with relative ease. Buffalo took on the Denver Broncos and defeated them handily, winning 31-7. Allen passed for 272 yards and two touchdowns in the win.

The Ravens beat their longtime rival Pittsburgh Steelers, 28-14, which included them going into halftime leading 21-0.

Jackson threw for 175 and two touchdowns. Derrick Henry also had a stellar performance, rushing for 186 yards and two touchdowns.

The Bills and Ravens matched up once earlier in the season back in Week 4. It was Baltimore who won that game decisively in a 35-10 victory where Henry rushed for just under 200 yards.

However, since that game, Buffalo has been lights-out offensively. It has scored 30 points or more in 11 of the 14 games since that early season matchup.

This game projects to be a high scoring affair and a game that will be decided by which team can get stops in the biggest moments.

Another important factor will be the weather. Being played in Buffalo, the temperature’s will be around 12 degrees, well below freezing.

This will give the advantage to the Bills who are used to this weather. But it remains to be seen how either team will be affected by the freezing temperatures.
