The podcast “Bussin’ With the Boys” is leaving Barstool Sports.
Former Tennessee Titans offensive tackle Taylor Lewan and co-host Will Compton, who also played for the Titans, announced during their podcast Tuesday that they will be leaving Barstool Sports after launching the podcast five years ago.
“Pulling us away from Barstool, we had a massive offer,” Compton said. “An offer we ultimately could not say no to. … We wanted to stay with Barstool.”
Lewan said on the podcast that he and Compton have both enjoyed being part of Barstool Sports since the show started in May of 2019. The show is set on a decorated bus with signage and other memorabilia.
“We loved being part of the ecosystem, we love the guys there, the camaraderie, the locker room vibes. (Barstool Sports founder and owner) Dave (Portnoy) said on ‘The Unnamed Show,’ people don’t want to leave Barstool for a reason. We have, for whatever reason, positioned ourselves to where other people, other sponsors, want to be part of ‘Bussin’ With the Boys’ in a big way.”
The future of the podcast itself is yet to be determined. The pair said additional details of the show’s future will be revealed on social media in the coming months.
Lewan played his entire nine-season NFL career from 2014-22 with the Titans. Lewan played in 105 games, staring 100. He was named to three Pro Bowls in 2016-18.
