Another Henry Cavill Spy Thriller Is Hitting Theaters 2 Months After Argylle

While his fans and the public would love to see him play the role of James Bond in the iconic 007 franchise, the assurance that Henry Cavill will make his spy appearance in Argylle as the titular protagonist in a few weeks has still got the fans more than excited. After a while of being absent from any major project, it’s wonderful to see the star return to the industry.

But as if this wasn’t enough good news, it was recently announced that he was all set to make another appearance as a spy in Guy Ritchie’s upcoming spy film The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. While we may have had the info about the film’s release to be made, the fact that it’s being released just two months after his upcoming film was surprising.

After a series of unfortunate events in his career about his infamous exits from major franchises left and right, it seems like 2024 is proving to start with a bang for Henry Cavill, as his upcoming action film Argylle is already making buzz among conversation circles. And to add to that fire, we now have confirmation of another spy film that the star will be part of after getting its release window.

In the latest reports, it was stated that the Man of Steel star will be seen alongside Elza González and Reacher star Alan Ritchson in the upcoming action/comedy spy film The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, which is co-written and directed by prolific filmmaker Guy Ritchie, which has received the window of April 19, 2024, for its release.


This might’ve surprised many, but this film was in the works for quite some time, only waiting for a release date to be finalized. And just a couple of hours ago, Lionsgate gave its green light for the release to be scheduled on the date mentioned above.

The story is based on the now-declassified files of the British War Department in conjunction with the book of the same name written by author Damien Lewis. The film will tell the tale of former UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill’s initiation of some of the first-known black ops programs and how it managed to influence several major events in Europe’s history.
