Bayley Sends Emotional Message To Two WWE NXT Stars

The WWE NXT Women’s Championship will be defended at NXT New Year’s Evil and SmackDown’s Bayley has reacted to the hype video.

The January 7, 2025, PLE will see the women’s Iron Survivor Challenge winner Giulia taking on current NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez.

As can be seen below this news story, WWE released a hype package for the upcoming match that showcased past champions.

Among the champions seen in the package was Mandy Rose who reacted to her appearance on social media.

Another former WWE NXT Women’s Champion to share her thoughts was Bayley, who tweeted:

“Incredible display of this historic championship. And believe me, from someone who stood by the cameras as the first ever was crowned, it makes me proud to see where the division is now! Excited for you @roxanne_wwe @giulia0221g #WWENXT”

Bayley defeated Sasha Banks at NXT TakeOver Brooklyn in August 2015 to become the fourth star to hold the NXT Women’s Championship.

The inaugural champion was Paige (now Saraya in AEW), beating Emma to win the tournament with the title being vacated in April 2014 after Paige became WWE Divas Champion.

Roxanne Perez is one of only three members of the women’s roster to hold the WWE NXT Women’s Championship on two occasions, with Charlotte Flair and Shayna Baszler being the other two.
