“Juuust a bit outside.”

That quote by the great Bob Uecker will forever resonate with sports movie fans from his role as play-by-play announcer Harry Doyle in the film “Major League.”

Zoom in: Uecker became a part of Cleveland baseball history when “Major League” hit theaters in 1989.

  • The film, which follows a fictional version of the Cleveland Indians, was shot in Milwaukee to save money and avoid working around the real-life Indians and Browns’ schedules.

The big picture: Uecker’s storied playing, announcing and acting career earned him the nickname “Mr. Baseball.”

  • He was honored by the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2003.
