LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Celebrities are among the thousands forced to flee their homes as wildfires rage across Los Angeles.

Mark Hamill, known for his role as Luke Skywalker in “Star Wars,” said he has evacuated from Malibu. Reality TV star Heidi Montag and her husband, Spencer Pratt, said they have lost their home to the fires.

Other celebrities affected include Chet Hanks, son of actor Tom Hanks, as well as actors Eugene Levy, James Woods, and Steve Guttenberg. Guttenberg, recognized for his roles in “Three Men and a Baby” and “Police Academy,” described his efforts to assist in evacuations.

“It was just heartbreaking,” Guttenberg said. “You can’t, you know, it, at, at one in the afternoon, it was nighttime. It was so, this is the most unbelievable fire that I’ve ever, anybody’s ever seen.”

Approximately 30,000 residents are currently under evacuation orders as the fires continue to spread.
