Demi Moore’s family and friends are just as excited as she is about her first-ever win at the 2025 Golden Globes!
Gathered to watch the broadcast, the group anxiously watched as the award for best actress in a comedy or musical film was announced — and broke into cheers when it went to The Substance star, 62.
The moment was captured in a video posted to Instagram, posted by Moore’s friends Amanda De Cadenet and Eric Buterbaugh, as well as her three daughters Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 30.
“SHE DID IT 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭” wrote Scout in a comment.
“GO MAMA GO. So so proud of you. Omg I love you so much. So well deserved,” added Rumer.
The video ends with the jubilant crowd quieting down to listen to Moore’s emotional, career-spanning acceptance speech, which highlighted the significance of the moment for the actress.
“Oh wow. I really wasn’t expecting that. I’m just in shock right now. I’ve been doing this a long time, like over 45 years, and this is the first time I’ve ever won anything as an actor,” said Moore. “I’m just so humbled and so grateful.”

The star continued, before exiting the Golden Globes stage: “I had a woman say to me, ‘Just know you will never be enough, but you can know the value of your worth if you just put down the measuring stick.’ And so today, I celebrate this as a marker of my wholeness and of the love that is driving me and for the gift of doing something I love and being reminded that I do belong.”

The G.I. Jane actress shares her three kids with ex-husband Bruce Willis, from whom she split after 13 years of marriage in 2000. The pair have remained friendly, co-parenting their children and even moving in together — alongside Willis’ wife Emma Heming Willis — during the COVID-19 pandemic. Heming Willis, who has become a vocal advocate for the caregiver community since Willis’ frontotemporal dementia diagnosis, also posted a tribute to Moore on her Instagram stories.
In December, the Ghost star played in the snow with her granddaughter Louette (the daughter of Rumer) — captured in a wintery snapshot she posted to Instagram.
Last month, Moore also celebrated Tallulah’s engagement to her partner Justin Acee with a series of videos and photos she posted to Instagram. “A Christmas proposal 🎄💍 ❤️. Congratulations to our @buuski and her @justinacee — we love you,” the actress captioned her post.
