Dungeon of Doom: Lions remain kings of NFC North, add top seed to historic year

DETROIT — The Detroit Lions put the bows on a historic regular season, beating the Minnesota Vikings, 31-9, to clinch their second consecutive NFC North title and first No. 1 seed in franchise history.

It took 15 wins and an undefeated run on the road and inside the division to get to this point. But it is the Lions to walk away winners as the regular season comes to an end. MLive’s Dungeon of Doom podcast is back to discuss it all, including a look ahead at the wild-card round matchups and potential opponents in the divisional round. No matter who it is, the NFC goes through Detroit and Ford Field.

Hosts Ben Raven and Kory Woods discuss the impressive defensive showing and how running back Jahmyr Gibbs took over in the second half. They also give love to Lions cornerback Amik Robertson and linebacker Alex Anzalone for stepping up when the Lions needed them most in Week 18 against Minnesota.
