A highly anticipated superhero film is finally taking to the skies.
The new “Superman” movie is headed toward a 2025 release date and generating some buzz. James Gunn, the director of the film, announced on Twitter that a teaser trailer for the movie is coming Thursday.
The movie filmed in a few locations in Ohio over the summer.
Rumors began to swirl about the movie being filmed in Ohio early this year after approximately $11 million in tax credits were awarded to a film called “Genesis,” which was speculated to be a codename for the Superman project. Sure enough, the cast and crew were spotted in both Cincinnati and Cleveland.
Superman originated in Cleveland
Cleveland is considered to be the place of origin for the last son of Krypton. Writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster are tied to his creation, and the idea first came to be when they were attending Glenville High School in 1933, according to Case Western Reserve University.
