A famed stunt pilot who’s flown in the Geneseo Airshow died in a plane crash Thursday.

Rob Holland was piloting a custom-built aerobatic plane when it crashed while landing at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

He was set to perform at an airshow in the area this Saturday and Sunday.

Holland, who was the only person on board, had a two-decade-long career as a fulltime airshow pilot and was a 13-time U.S. National Aerobatic champion.

The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the cause of the crash.
