CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WNCN) — The schedule for North Carolina’s men’s basketball team is not letting up, as the Tar Heels have two top 25 opponents lined up this week.
UNC (6-4 overall, 1-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) face the undefeated No. 7 Florida Gators (10-0) in the 2024 Jumpman Invitational. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte.
The Tar Heels have won their last two games — including a win over Georgia Tech to open league play — after losing three in a row between the Maui Invitational and the SEC/ACC Challenge.
Florida has yet to lose yet this season, with their last victory an 83-66 win over Arizona State in the Holiday Hoopsgiving event last Saturday at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. The Gators will be the fourth top 10 ranked team the Tar Heels will have played in 11 games.
Up next for UNC is a trip to the mecca, Madison Square Garden, for a clash with No. 18 UCLA in the 2024 CBS Sports Classic. Tipoff in New York is set for 3 p.m. Saturday.
