Seth Henigan threw for 294 yards and two touchdowns, Mario Anderson Jr. and Greg Desrosiers Jr. each rushed for a score and the Tigers held off a late rally from West Virginia to win the Scooter’s Coffee Frisco Bowl 42-37 on Tuesday night.
It was Memphis’ second straight bowl win over a power conference team.
The Tigers came out firing in the first quarter and quickly built a two-score lead. But West Virginia kicked its offense into gear as the game went on and Memphis struggled to stop Mountaineers receiver Hudson Clement, who had 11 receptions for 166 yards and two touchdowns.
