Morgan Wallen hides Knoxville Easter eggs in his SNL performances. How many can you spot?

No, Morgan Wallen didn’t wear a Vols jersey and he didn’t play “Rocky Top” on SNL. But he did end his second song of the night with “Praise the lord and go Vols, baby!”

The country superstar, who grew up in Knoxville graduated from Gibbs HIgh School, wove lots of East Knoxville love into his “Saturday Night Live” performances on March 29.

The SNL stage is often customized for performances, and Wallen had a collage covering the walls behind him and his bandmates. There’s a “Knoxville, TN” handwritten note and a newspaper clipping about Wallen’s record-breaking performances this past fall at Neyland Stadium.

Plus there’s a Power T on his guitar strap and at the end of the show he’s wearing his Morgan Wallen x Field & Stream hat featuring a bear in a Davy Crockett coonskin cap.

What else can you spot during SNL performances of “I’m the Problem” and “Just in Case”?

Wallen did catch some slight heat for very obviously walking off the stage as the credits were rolling.

He must have had places to be, because Wallen bee-lined off the stage immediately during the time the host and musical guest typically mingle with performers to thank them and say goodbyes. The “Last Night” singer didn’t even go back stage. Instead, he gave host Mikey Madison a side-hug then took the three steps of the front of the stage and right past the camera.

Wallen potentially had places to be as he posted a jet on a flight line to his personal Instagram story around 2:30am with the caption “Get me to God’s country.”
