John Mulaney will never run out of comedy material so long as his mother-in-law continues living with him.
The stand-up star shared on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” Thursday that his wife Olivia Munn’s mom, Kim Munn, once asked him to buy her a “round-trip ticket” to fly from California to Oklahoma so she could pick up a property bill in her mailbox.
Mulaney suggested an easier and less expensive option, like having Kim’s Oklahoma-based sister send it to her, but she nixed the idea, explaining that she did not “want it to travel that far.”

“Her husband, Sam, was gonna go back to Oklahoma. I said, ‘Why don’t you give him the check and he’ll fly back and mail it?’ And she said, ‘I don’t want my check flying on a plane,’” the “Kid Gorgeous” star added.
Mulaney, 42, did not share whether he honored the request, though he quipped that he and Olivia, 44, were taking their living situation with her mother “minute to minute.”
The “Saturday Night Live” alum quietly married the “Newsroom” star in July.

The couple was first linked in May 2021 following Mulaney’s stint in rehab for addiction and announced just a few months later that they were expecting a baby.
Olivia recently admitted she and her now-husband, who was going through a divorce at the time, “barely knew” each other when they conceived their son, Malcolm.
“It wasn’t anything close to ‘dating,’” she told GQ.

Initially, the pair planned on co-parenting their child from different states, but they were in a full-fledged relationship by the time the actress gave birth to Malcolm in November 2021.
Olivia announced earlier this year that she was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2023 and underwent a double mastectomy.
After her health battle, the “Daily Show” alum and Mulaney welcomed a baby girl named Méi in September via surrogate.
