ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A man is dead after officers responded to a home in the Lakewood Heights neighborhood, according to Atlanta police.
Police said officers responded to 273 William Nye Drive SE after receiving reports that shots had been fired and a woman had been dragged into the home.
Upon arriving at the home, police could not find the woman. Instead, a man opened the front door and immediately closed it when he saw the officers.

A man was killed and another was injured after separate incidents Friday night.
According to police, two men left the home as police were surrounding it. One later returned, but the second kept running, eventually hopping two fences.
When police found the man, he had suffered an injury to his leg. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
The man was identified as Kenneth Bailey, 40, by the Fulton County Medical Examiner.
An A&R representative for an Atlanta-based record label said Bailey was an Atlanta-based rapper with the stage name Young Scooter. He had appeared on tracks by Future, Gucci Mane and many others in the Atlanta hip hop scene.
Bailey’s family also confirmed his death.

Police said that they have not uncovered evidence of a shooting.
