Ravens playoff picture: Baltimore’s updated chances to make 2024 NFL playoffs after Week 15 win vs. Giants

The Ravens haven’t been quite as dominant so far in 2024 as they were in 2023, but they’re still in a strong position after a Week 15 victory.

Following Sunday’s 35-14 win over the Giants, Baltimore sits at 9-5, good enough for a current AFC wild-card spot. However, Lamar Jackson and company still have some work to do in order to officially have a shot at the Super Bowl.

With teams like the Colts, Dolphins, and Bengals still in the hunt for a playoff position, the Ravens will need to close out the regular season on a strong note to make the postseason.

What does Baltimore’s path to the 2024 NFL playoffs look like following Sunday’s win? Here’s what to know about the Ravens’ chances to make the postseason, including a look at their upcoming schedule.

The Ravens do trail the Steelers (10-4) in the AFC North even after a Week 15 win, but they could still make a comeback in the division. With three games remaining for Baltimore and the Steelers losing a matchup vs. Philadelphia on Sunday, the Ravens trail the Steelers by just one games, so the dynamic within the division could still easily change.

However, the more likely path to the postseason for John Harbaugh’s squad is a wild card spot. Right now, the Ravens own the AFC’s No. 5 seed, sitting above the 9-5 Broncos and the 8-6 Chargers. Here’s a look at the current AFC playoff picture:

With the top seven squads making the playoffs, things are looking good for the Ravens. Just one more win down the stretch could be enough to lock down a spot, but two wins will definitely be enough to fend off any last-minute comeback attempts from Indianapolis, Miami, and Cincinnati.

Considering the Ravens came into Week 15 owning the tiebreaker over Los Angeles and Denver as well, they’re set up nicely to make a return to the playoffs soon.
