Read Caitlin Clark’s message to USC star JuJu Watkins after season-ending injury

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark had a message for JuJu Watkins after the USC women’s basketball star suffered a season-ending injury in the NCAA Tournament on Monday.

“Sending all my thoughts and prayers to JuJu,” Clark wrote on X. “Kid will come back stronger than ever.”

Watkins, a sophomore, has been USC’s leader this season and helped the Trojans secure a No. 1 seed in March Madness for the second consecutive season. In a second-round matchup against Mississippi State, Watkins drove to the basket in the first quarter when it appeared her knee buckled.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Watkins tore her anterior cruciate ligament, though the team has not yet confirmed the diagnosis. Watkins is out for the remainder of the tournament and could miss a significant portion of next season as well.
