Users have been met with this error message when trying to load pages on the app

When trying to load the site, users are met with a message on a blank page.

The failed connection reads: “Internal server error.”

Of the 7,044 recorded issues with Reddit, 59 per cent were reported for failures to connect on the social media platform’s app.

When trying to load the popular app on their phones, users have been met with a message that reads: “Let’s try that again.

“Sorry about that.

“There was an error loading content.”

36 per cent of the issues were cited to be with the social media giant’s website.

While some people have been able to load the website, they are then met with a message informing them of an “error”.

It reads: “Server error.

“Try again later.”

Countless frustrated users have taken to other social media sites following the outage.

One user on X said: “Is Reddit down for everyone else or is it just me?”

Another in the Netherlands exclaimed: “Reddit down – ‘internal server error’.

“Can’t get to anything – profiles, posts, subs, nada.”

A frustrated third user said: “Is anyone else struggling with Reddit at the moment?”

Some others have, however, seen the lighter side of things, with one saying: “Reddit is down?

“Time to go outside and remember what sunlight feels like.”

A post by account Reddit Status on X has said it is “currently investigating this issue.”

The profile shared a link to an incident report, timestamped to 7.16pm UK-time, that states that the incident is currently affecting “Reddit infrastructure”.

There have also been reported issues with social media site X, with thousands of users saying they have been unable to access the app and website.

One user on X said: “Both Twitter and Reddit are down.

“Probably an attack.”

Another added: “Twitter and Reddit go down at the same time.

“Something ain’t right.”

Over 16,000 users are having trouble loading X, as some report not being able to open their notifications from the app.

It comes just weeks after a “massive cyberattack” took down the social media platform.

At the time, X Chairman Elon Musk posted: “There was (still is) a massive cyberattack against X.

“We get attacked every day, but this was done with a lot of resources.

“Either a large, coordinated group and/or a country is involved.

“Tracing …”
