Ronaldo’s best friend’s wife passed away

Soraia – the dutiful wife who lived with Jose Semedo for more than 15 years – has just passed away forever. She was pronounced dead at Curry Cabral hospital in Lisbon on September 30 (local time) because of a severe infection.

According to Portuguese news, Cristiano Ronaldo immediately called to express his condolences to his close friend. However, it is unclear whether CR7 will fly back home to attend Soraia’s funeral.

Currently, Ronaldo’s social network account has not posted any information related to the above unfortunate incident. Under the news posted by Mais Futebol, some fans are still waiting for the 36-year-old superstar to make his first move.

However, it is likely that Ronaldo will not post condolences or encouragement to Jose Semedo via social networking platforms. It’s a sad story and CR7 will only silently encourage and help with all his ability so that his best friend can soon overcome the big shock in his life.

Ronaldo was once his best friend’s savior

Ronaldo is also very busy with his playing schedule at Manchester United. At 6:30 p.m. today (October 2), the Portuguese superstar and his teammates will enter a reception that is expected to be difficult with Everton. This is a match MU is determined to win to regain confidence after losing to Aston Villa at Old Trafford a week ago.

Ronaldo and Semedo were once young talents of the Sporting Lisbon football academy. It was CR7 who was said to have stood up to protect and help his close friend from being eliminated by the team’s leadership. “I owe Ronaldo everything. If it weren’t for him, I would have been deported, returned home to be a promiscuous person, and would have easily fallen into crime, like many of my friends in the neighborhood,” said the midfielder. Vitoria FC (Portugal) payroll was once revealed.

Although unable to find a place in Sporting Lisbon’s first team, Semedo later still had a quite successful career. The 36-year-old midfielder moved to England in 2007 to join Charlton Athletic, then Sheffield Wednesday and became a mainstay in these teams.
