Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim saw his side find another way to lose, gifting a Boxing Day win to relegation-threatened Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux on Thursday.
The Red Devils did not score, and spent most of the second half down a man after captain Bruno Fernandes earned a second yellow card and was sent off in the 47th minute.

Matheus Cunha scored off an Olimpico 12 minutes later as Red Devils goalkeeper Andre Onana got caught between two Wolves attackers and failed to deal with a corner kick. Hee-chan Hwang scored off a Cunha assist in stoppage time to salt away the three points for Wolves.
That means United have lost five of their last seven games across all competitions and have taken just three points from their last 15 available in the Premier League.

Was this a step backwards? “Of course. When we don’t win it is a step back but it was really hard with the sending off. The goal was similar against Tottenham. We tried even with one guy less, we were nearer than Wolves to the second one. For us, let’s continue.”
Set piece concession: “Yeah [the same goal] against Tottenham. Onana cannot get to the ball. I think he cannot go the ball so he’s trying to reach the ball and some guys are not even looking to it. I don’t want to focus on that, though — the good thing is we were near the goal even with 10 men.”
On Bruno’s red: “It’s so tough to win a game in the Premier League with 11 men. With 10 men it’s even more so.”
On United’s attacking play: “We have to improve the relationships but in some moments we lack aggression. But we don’t train. We just play and try to find a better way to win. The others one we lost we’ve been in control, not always dominating, but some things, the set pieces, the sending off.”
On no Marcus Rashford again: “It’s always the same reason. We have to be the same professionals, winning or losing. Losing I have to be stronger. I will continue with my idea until the end.”
On if Rashford has shown more since being left out: “If he’s not here, you can make up your mind.”
