Selena Gomez can’t help but feel giddy after her engagement to Benny Blanco. She also can’t keep her ring-clad hand to herself. On Thursday, the actress took to Instagram to show off her new bling in a few snaps shared to her Story.

In the first slide, a smiling Gomez posed for a mirror selfie, in which she she held her phone with her left hand, allowing her diamond to be front and center. Her brunette hair was styled in a flippy bob and tucked behind one of her ears to reveal her diamond Chanel earrings. She also sported a black turtleneck and a maroon leather jacket. She let the massive stone speak for itself, opting out of a caption.

Her second post consisted of video that captured the sparkler in all it’s glory. In the clip, Gomez filmed her hand while sitting out by the pool. “Sorry last post…I’ve just dreamed of this moment my whole life,” she sweetly wrote.

The 8-carat marquise-shaped stone—which is estimated to have cost around $225,000 according to Ann Grimmett from Jared Jewellers—could also be a nod to her 2015 song “Good For You,” featuring A$AP Rocky. In the hit, she sings that she is a “marquise diamond” that could “even make Tiffany jealous.”

Earlier this month, Gomez and Blanco shared the exciting news that they were engaged in an Instagram post that contained a photo of the ring, Gomez admiring the bling while sitting on a picnic blanket on a set, a selfie of Gomez holding up her hand, and another adorable photo that captured Blanco with his arms around the singer who held up her hand and wore the biggest smile on her face.

“forever begins now,” Gomez captioned the post.

A source told People that Blanco’s proposal, which took place at a soundstage and included Taco Bell, was right up her alley. “It was very her,” the insider said, adding that “it was a total surprise to Selena.”

The couple reportedly couldn’t contain their excitement and were eager to share the news with their friends and family, so they had an an “impromptu gathering” with their loved ones the same night. “Benny and Selena were so excited to share the news right away with their loved ones,” the source added. “It’s such a true partnership between them.”
