Social media pays tribute to ‘Baby Driver’ teen actor Hudson Meek following fatal accident

It’s now been a week since the 16-year old Vestavia Hills actor Hudson Meek, most famous for his role in ‘Baby Driver’, fell out of a moving vehicle. Meek died from injuries sustained in that crash two days later.

Since his death has been announced, many on social media have came out showing support and leaving messages for Meek and his family.

Some of them reading: “Hudson’s light shined so bright, and was a friend to everyone we love you hudson,” “His smile and laugh was infectious. He was a best (friend) to everyone,” and “You were loved by so many hudson you will be so missed.”

His family is asking for donations to a newly established scholarship in his name. His obituary reads:

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Hudson J. Meek Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded annually to a Vestavia Hills High School student. Contributions can be made by Venmo to HudsonMeekScholarship or by making a deposit at any Wells Fargo branch into Account #5908190381

The Vestavia Hills police department is handling the investigation and has not given any details or information about the circumstances of Meek falling out of the vehicle.

ABC 33/40 reached out to VHPD on 12/23 shortly after his death was announced and again on 12/24/ both with no response.

On 12/26 ABC 33/40 called the VHPD police chief and left a message, not yet receiving a response.
