The Tennessee Titans have less than one month to decide what they’re going to do with the No.1 overall draft pick in the 2025 NFL draft. Right now, the Titans are going through their evaluation process and have not made any decisions about what to do with that pick. However, the New York Giants are making the Titans’ decision more clear with their recent quarterback signings.
The Giants agreed to terms with veteran quarterback Jameis Winston last week, and on Tuesday, they signed another veteran quarterback in Russell Wilson. Despite these signings, the Giants remain in the hunt for a young quarterback to be their next franchise passer, but they are unlikely to trade up to the top spot now that they have three quarterbacks.
If the Giants aren’t going to trade up, and there have been no other serious contenders to do so, then the Titans are more than likely going to stick with making a selection at number one. And if that’s what ends up happening, they are far more likely they select Cam Ward than anyone else unless they manage to sign a veteran quarterback who can mentor Will Levis, which may still be on their radar.
The Giants currently have Winston, Wilson, and Tommy DeVito. If they add a quarterback in the draft, it’s not likely to be someone they expect to play right away, which is why they won’t trade up to the No. 1 spot.
The Titans have Levis and Brandon Allen at quarterback right now and have made no other moves to bring in someone who can truly take this team to the next level. Combine that with the Giants’ recent moves, and the Titans’ path is much less murky than it was just 24 hours ago.
