It’s a Tyler, The Creator and Kendrick Lamar crossover!
The Chromakopia artist gifted fans on Christmas Day with a new video called “That Guy” where he raps over Lamar’s GNX track “Hey Now.” He announced the release in a post on X (formerly Twitter), where he replied to a comment from November asking for him to freestyle with Lamar’s hit.
“merry christmas. had fun with it,” Tyler wrote, linking to the video.
Referencing the success of his eighth and latest album, Tyler raps: “Hey now, say now, get sticky like a hun bun / You will never be the main guy, you’re a plus-one / 300k in four days Chromakopia / 12 days gold I ain’t even drop deluxe one.”

The clips show him going around Hawthorne, Calif., where he is from, dancing in the streets and showing off his success with a Ferrari and designer clothing. He also included a verse about his surprise appearance at Lamar’s The Pop Out: Ken & Friends concert in Los Angeles in June.
“Lil bunny hop out, you seen me at the Pop Out / Pandemonium screaming like they brought pac out,” he says.
At the end, the video shows Tyler, 33, with his former Odd Future members Jasper Dolphin and Travis “Taco” Bennett before cameras cut to black.
The comments flooded with excitement from fans, with one saying: “tyler on kendricks beat is the best christmas gift.”
Another wrote: “You can tell Kendrick really inspires him, loving how he’s going back to his roots where it all started Hawthorne, CA, with some OF members/friends. it’s like a full circle moment for. happy for him.”

Lamar also announced he’d be going on tour with SZA in 2025, with the two co-headlining stadiums around the U.S. from April through June.
