Unity Reed high school grad Tyleik Williams gets drafted by Detroit

WASHINGTON (7News) — From Manassas, Virginia to the Motor City.

Unity Reed High School grad Tyleik Williams was selected 28th overall in the NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions.

Last season, the defensive tackle notched 46 tackles and 2.5 sacks. In his collegiate career, he recorded 136 career tackles and 11.5 sacks.

Williams anchored the Buckeyes defense during their 2024 National Championship campaign.

He is a 334-pound presence in the middle of the line, who should instantly upgrade the Lions’ run defense.
