UNLV releases contract of new football head coach

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Last Friday, UNLV announced Dan Mullen as the new football head coach, replacing Barry Odom.

Odom accepted the position as Purdue’s football head coach.

Mullen’s contract will last until the end of 2029. The contract says his annual salary will be $400,000. He will also receive an initial bonus of $35K.

The university will also pay Mullen a total of $3.1 million a year for his media appearances. He will also be paid yearly bonuses starting in 2027 with $100K and then $200K each year after.
