Peter Sutherland is no longer manning the desk or picking up the phone. He is jumping into action as “The Night Agent” and headed to his first mission.
Sutherland, played by Gabriel Basso, was promoted at the end of Season 1 of the hit Netflix show after he unraveled a terrorist conspiracy in the White House and saved President Michelle Travers (Kari Matchett). Now in Season 2, he’ll be part of Night Action, “an ‘off the books’ program under the president that investigates cases that traditional intelligence agencies can’t figure out,” according to the Netflix site Tudum.
In the upcoming season, Peter “finds himself fully immersed in the mysterious world of Night Action, a top-secret organization rife with deadly threats,” and will be “kicking down doors, battling foes, and taking shots when he needs to.”
The suspenseful action thriller inspired by Matthew Quirk’s 2019 novel, was Netflix’s third-most popular debut for an original series when it first released in March 2023.

‘The Night Agent’ Season 3
Netflix has already renewed the series for a third season, according to Tudum. Production on the new season was scheduled to begin in Istanbul at the end of 2024 before returning to New York in 2025. Additional details, including the release date for the new season, are not yet known.
