Lionel Messi shared that he wants a baby girl if he and his wife Antonella Roccuzzo have another child.
Lionel Messi and his wife Antonella Roccuzzo have three sons together: Thiago (10 years old), Mateo (8 years old) and Ciro (5 years old). Messi’s family often posts photos taken together on social networks about daily life, trips, matches,…
Messi confirmed that he and Antonella currently have no plans to have another child, but if that happens, the couple hopes it will be a girl. He shared with Argentinian comedian Migue Granados via Khaleej Times:
“We’re not trying to have any more kids, but I don’t know. Let’s wait and see if a baby girl comes.”
Messi and his family have settled into life in the US after he moved to MLS side Inter Miami in the summer. This star shares more about her family’s current habits:
“At 9 p.m., my children will get ready for bed, leaving Antonela and I to relax a bit. We have an early dinner and then watch TV together.”
Antonella comes from the Rosario region, Argentina. Because Messi was her cousin’s friend when they were children, the two met when they were 5 years old. They became friends and loved each other from their childhood days.
The boys and Atonella often attend Messi’s matches to cheer for him. Atonella sometimes updates about family vacations and outings with her children and always receives love from fans. Fans are also looking forward to the three brothers following in their father’s footsteps to pursue a career in soccer.
Currently Messi’s eldest son, Thiago, is studying at Inter Miami’s academy system and practicing with the U12 team. The boy will turn 11 years old this November.
